    نهم تیرماه ۱۳۹۲ کارلوس کی روش و خولیو ولاسکو در فرودگاه امام خمینی با یکدیگر به تهران رسیدند تا یکی به فدراسیون فوتبال و دیگری به فدراسیون والیبال بروند تا دو ماموریت مهم را بر عهده بگیرند. هر دو فورا سرمربیگری تیم های ملی را پذیرفتند و کار خود را آغاز کردند. هر دو با دیسیپلین، برنامه و سیستم وارد شدند تا رویای تحول در والیبال و فوتبال را به عهده گرفتند اما فضای دو رشته کاملا متفاوت بود.
